Will of William Shortt, Junior

 

 

In the name of God Amen. I William Short Junior of Chesterfield County being sick and weak of Body but in perfect mind and memory. Thanks be to God for it. I do in the first place commit my Soul to Almighty God that gave it me and my Body to be Buried in a Christian manner.

First my will is that all of my Estate in what sort soever should be sold to the Highest Bidder. My will is that after all my Debts is paid the Balance of my Estate should be Equally divided between my four Brothers: Young, Thomas, Samuel and John Short, to them and their Heirs forever.

Second I do hereby appoint my Brother Young Short Executor to this my last Will and Testament

In Witness I have herewith Set my hand and Seal this

twenty second day of August 1763.
