Will of R. F. McCorkle

IN THE NAME OF THE BENVOLENT FATHER OF ALL, Amen:

I, R. F. McCorkle of the County of Lawrence and the State of Ohio being about 88 years of age and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and annulling any and all will or wills by me made heretofore.

First: My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.

2nd: I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Effie McCaffrey Two Hundred Dollars as soon as convenient after my death.

3rd: I give to my daughter Anna Turley One Hundred Dollars as soon after my death as convenient..

4th: I wish the ballance of my estate to be equally divided boath real and personal property among my eight children.

5th: The two girls mentioned above to share equally with the rest of my children after receiving the above bequests.

6th: I appoint my daughter Effie McCaffery the executor of this my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my to this my last will and testament at Proctorville this 25th day of May A. D. 1914.

The foregoing Instrument was signed by the said R. F. McCorkle in our presence and by him published and declared as his last will and testament and at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other we have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses this 25th day of May A. D. 1914.

Application for Probate of said will was filled Oct. 16” 1917 as follows, towit:

                                    Probate Court, Lawrence County, Ohio.

 

In the matter of the will

R. F. McCorkle, deceased.

 

Your petitioner respectfully represents that R. F. McCorkle late a resident of the Township of Union in said County, died on or about the ____ day of Sept. 1917 leaving an Instrument in writing, herewith produced, purporting to be his last will and testament:

That the said R. F. McCorkle died leaving no widow and the following named persons his only next of kin, towit:

Charles McCorkle     son                  Osa, Washington

Mary E. Bame           daughter         Miller, Ohio

Augusta McCorkle    son                  San Diego, Cali.

Neoma Murdock        daughter         Huntington, W. Va.

M. F. McCorkle         son                  Huntington, W. Va.

Samuel McCorkle      son                  Roberts, Ill.

Effie McCaffery         dau                  Proctorville, Ohio.

Annie Turley             daughter           Proctorville, Ohio.

 

Your petitioner offers said will for Probate and prays that a time may be fixed for the proving of the same, and that said above named persons resident in this State may be notified according to law of the pendency of said proceedings.
