Edward Hilton1,2
b. circa 1763, d. 3 August 1849
- Event-Misc*: It is claimed by some that Edward & Sarah moved to White Co., TN; however, I have not seen an proof of this. Also, I have not seen any mention of what happened to the large family of Edward Hilton enumeraated in the early White Co., TN censuses. This Edward was a Revoultionary War vet and, although he lived until almost 1850, his family seemed to break up after 1820. The 1820 census seems to show a family of a wife, 5 boys & 3 girls. In 1830, Edward is enumerated alone. An Elizabeth Hilton is also enumerated with a family that could be the one of 1820. There are plenty of records available for White Co. during this time period, so it seems odd that Hilton researchers have not shown any interest.
- Birth*: circa 1763; VA; Age 72 in 1835. Age 77 in 1840.2,3
- Marriage*: 1786; Henry Co., VA; Edward Hilton & Sarah Woody. Married by William Lovell.; Principal=Sarah Woody1
- Census: 1820; White Co., TN; Edward Helton: 2,3,0,1,0,1/0,1,2,1.4
- Census: 1830; White Co., TN; Edward Hilton: 1 male 60/70.5
- Census*: 1840; White Co., TN; In home of Joseph B. Glen was Edward Helton, age 77 enumerated as "Pensioners for Revolutionary or Military Service". There was no female in the home that was old enough to be Sarah.6
- Death*: 3 August 1849; White Co., TN2,7

Robert Small Fullerton1,2,3,4
b. 13 February 1818, d. between 1830 and 1850
- Event-Misc*: There is a biography of John & Hannah Fullerton Blair in the "Counties of Morgan, Monroe and Brown, Indiana: Historical and Biographical". They were married Oct 28 1843 and Hannah was the daughter of Robert and Martha Small Fullerton. Hannah was born May 17, 1819. Both Hannah and her widowed mother are enumerated in several censuses as born in Ireland. Some online lineages have this Robert Fullerton as the son of Thomas and Nancy Woody Fullerton. This is incorrect, as Hannah was born abourt the same time as Robert, the son of Thomas & Nancy. Also, Hannah was born in Ireland.5
- Birth*: 13 February 1818; Lincoln Co., TN1
- Baptism: 1819; Hephzibah Reformed Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Co., TN; Robert Small Fullerton, Parents Names: Thomas Fullerton.4
- Death*: between 1830 and 1850; I assume that Robert died between the censuses of 1830 and 1850. He seems to be in the 1830 census, but not in the 1850 census. I can't find this family in the 1840 census.6,7

? Banks
d. before 8 August 1748
- Event-Misc*: The name of the wife of John Woody has not been proven, but there is considerable indirect evidence that her surname may have been Banks. Her names was most likely Frances or Mary. She is not mentioned in the deeds of 1748 & 1751, when John sold their land on Byrd Creek, so she had probably died before 1748. She was probably the sister of William Banks who died in 1762, both the children of Thomas Banks.2,3
- Marriage*: Principal=John Woody
- Death*: before 8 August 1748; VA; Since no mention is made of John's wife relinquishing her dower in a 1748 deed , we assume that she was deceased.4

Catherine B. Cance1,2,3,4,5
b. 13 December 1820, d. 27 June 1889
- Event-Misc*: Roger Logan seems to be the source of the Cance surname for Catherine. I am extremely skeptical of that Catherine was a Cance. Cance is a very, very rare surname. I cannot find a Cance (or Soundex) in the 1830 Arkansas census. There is a John Chancy in 1840 Carroll Co., AR. The most promising Cance I have found is F. A. Cance in 1840 McMinn Co., TN. There is speculation that Catherine was the daughter of Samuel Eoff. There is some evidence to support this assumption as Catherine Wooddy was named as a daughter in the will of Samuel Eoff. But John Wooddy was his executor and John's wife was a Catherine also. In addition, William & Catherine Wooddy are buried in the Eoff Cemetery. But so is a John Wooddy. Roger knew that William & Catherine were buried in the Eoff Cemetery, but he still went with Cance. My guess is that "Cance" came from one of his primary sources, but someone mistrancribed the name. Another problem is that Samuel Eoff appears to be in Coffee Co., TN in 1840, about two years after the Woodys first child was born in AR.
- Burial*: Eoff Cemetery, Boone Co., AR; Inscription reads: Catherine beloved wife of W H Wooddy born Dec 13, 1820 Died June 27, 1889.6,7
- Birth*: 13 December 1820; TN1,2,3,4,5,7,6
- Marriage*: circa 1837; Principal=William Henry Woody1
- Death*: 27 June 18891,7,6

Catherine Eoff1,2,3,4,5,6
b. 18 January 1824, d. 18 September 1892
- Event-Misc*: There is considerable confusion about the two Catherines that were the wives of William Henry & John D. Woody. One was born in 1821 and the other 1824. Samuel Eoff named Catherine Wooddy as his daughter in his will. Both William H. & John D. Woody lived near Samuel Eoff, but he named John D. as the executor of this will and estate. William H. and his wife are buried in Eoff Cemetery, but so is John Wooddy. The evidence of the will of Samuel Eoff is compelling to me and I have concluded that the wife of John D. Woody was Catherine Eoff, daughter of Samuel.
