Micajah's father & mother were dead & Micajah's brother, Tandy Stone, the brother of Stephen Stone, was made administrator of the estate. At his death, Micajah's heirs-at- law were Lewis Stone, Tandy Stone, John Stone, (difficult to read interlineation: John? Stone & his wife & other children of John Stone dec'd ?????), Lewis son of Thos Stone dec'd, Cornelius Bennett & Nancy his wife, John Franklin & his wife Milly & your oratrix & husband Stephen Stone. "Your oratrix" (Jane) also states her husband, Stephen died intestate without receiving his seventh part of Micajah's estate. Stephen's will is also attached to the cause. (DLW note: Our interpretation is based on the mention that Micajah's parents were dead, the term heirs-at-law & that Micajah's's brother was the administrator of the estate. Although unstated, this cause indicates that Micajah did not have a living wife or children. In this situation, Micajah's siblings & their descendants would be his heirs-at-law. Also, marriage records show that the husbands of Nancy & Milly were reversed. In addition John Stone died May 1851 & his descendants were added to the cause by the interlineation. He had a son James & ten other children who became heirs-at-law when John died & shared his one sventh share.)3
  • Event-Misc*: 28 May 1855; Richmond, VA; Jane Stone received the Rev. War Pension Payments of Jas Fifer from the Richmond, VA Pension Ocfice. Two confusing records, but it seems the payments ended in1872. Could not find a pension application.4,5
