• Event-Misc*: There is only strong circumstantial evidence that the William G. Woody that married Mary Keys is the same person that married Mary Spurlock. William is not in the 1870 census, but his enumeration in the 1880 census is a very good match for the 1850 & 1860 censuses. Also, Gordon Woody (bc 1872), the son of William G. Woody, named his first daughter Hannah. Hannah was probably named for her assumed mother Hannah Pence, who married William G. Woody in November, 1868. Hannah Pence Woody may have died giving birth to Gordon.
