This death date and age would mean that Wiley was born c 1829. Every census that we have seen records his birth date as c 1919. So it looks like something is amiss; either the death date or the death age. That is, either Wiley died in 1872 or he was 62 when he died. The stone cutter could have cut 52 instead of 62; however, since Elizabeth was enumerated as a widow in the 1880 census, our guess is that he died in 1872. That the Hartman's youngest child was born c 1870 and this adds credance to the 1872 death date.)^7,8
